The Egyptian artist and solo harpist, Neam Tarek, is the artistic director of Arab Intercultural Youth Choir Ensemble. She founded the Arab-German intercultural bridge of Leipzig in 2017. Her awareness of the different perspectives of art has started at a very young age. She started to study harp at the Academy of Arts in Cairo at the age of Five. She has been actively participating in various musical and artistic, cultural projects. By the age of seven, Neam was already able to perform solo concerts in many prestigious concert halls in Cairo.

 

The young talented harpist, Neam Tarek, moved to Austria at the age of fifteen to study the harp at the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts. Later she continued her Harp studies at the Berlin University of Music ''Hanns Eisler'' with Prof. Maria Graf, as well as the University of Music and Theatre ''Mendelssohn Bartholdy'' in Leipzig, where she graduated with Excellence for her solo performance as she was mentored by the great Gewandhaus Harpist, Gabrielle Victoria during her graduation year. In addition to Neam's academic studies, she participated in many masterclasses with worldwide harpists such as Xavier du Meistre.
